Join the ODTUG and AnDOUC 2023 Storytelling Challenge!
Back by popular demand, the third ODTUG Oracle Analytics Storytelling Challenge! This week-long contest takes place June 9-16, 2023. This year's challenge will be co-hosted by Oracle Developer & Technology User Group and Analytics and Data Oracle User Community. Challenge submissions close on June 19, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. (PDT). You/your team will create a data story to illustrate insights from a data set provided by ODTUG. The analyses and stories developed by Data Storytellers will be created through the ODTUG Oracle Analytics Cloud instance. We encourage you to promote submissions on social media using the #OracleAnalytics and #ODTUGAnDOUCchallenge hashtags!
About the Contest
The contest is carried out in Oracle Analytics Cloud. The data for this challenge is stored in an Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) database. Credentials for accessing both services will be provided to you or your team before the start of the challenge.
Guidelines and Rules
- The analysis and data story must be built using the ODTUG Oracle Analytics Cloud instance.
- Using OML in the provisioned ADW database is also encouraged.
- Third-party data science tooling can be used (e.g., R, Python, H20, hand-coded).
- Participants are encouraged to enrich the dataset with additional datasets. The permissions to additional datasets need to be extended to the panel of judges for their access.
- Development of Project may be done in My Folder.
- Final submission must be copied into Shared Folder within the Oracle Analytics Cloud instance.
- Each submission will take the form of uploading your project (.dva file) to the ODTUG
- Oracle Analytics Cloud instance.
- Participants will need to schedule a 5/10-minute Zoom submission video call with the ODTUG judging committee.
Details on how entrants should submit their challenge entries will be provided closer to the submission time.
Judging
